Just off SH1 between Whangārei and Waipu. Plenty of parking, kids welcomed at the door, and coffee on us.

We're central to the whole Bream Bay area — about 5 minutes from Marsden Point and One Tree Point, 12–15 minutes from Waipu, and around 25 minutes south of Whangārei. Wherever you are in Bream Bay, you're welcome on a Sunday.

Clint & Deidre are the lead pastors of Encounter Church in Bream Bay. They were sent out from Encounter Auckland in 2015 to begin pastoring here, and they're passionate about people and seeing God move in their local community.

With Clint & Deidre you'll find great laughs, great friends, and great community. Come say hi this Sunday — they'd love to meet you.

A few things people often want to know before their first Sunday.

Our Sunday gathering starts at 10am and runs for around 90 minutes. Worship, teaching, kids programmes, and a coffee afterwards. You're welcome to arrive a few minutes early to grab a seat and meet some of the team — and there's no need to book.
We meet at 223 Marsden Point Road, Ruakaka — Northland, postcode 0116. We're just minutes off State Highway 1, between Whangārei and Waipu. There's plenty of off-street parking, and the building is wheelchair accessible. Look for the Encounter signage at the entrance.
Encounter Church Bream Bay is based in Ruakaka, in the heart of the Bream Bay area. We're about 5 minutes from Marsden Point and One Tree Point, 12–15 minutes from Waipu, and around 25 minutes south of Whangārei — all an easy drive down State Highway 1. Wherever you are in Bream Bay, there's a seat for you on Sunday at 10am.
Yes — kids are a huge part of our church family. We run age-appropriate kids programmes during the Sunday service so children are loved, taught, and free to be themselves while you join the main gathering. Our team are all vetted and trained, and you're welcome to stay with your child if you'd prefer.
Relaxed, friendly, and come-as-you-are. Most people dress casually — jeans and a t-shirt are completely normal. Whether you're brand new to faith, returning after time away, or you've been walking with Jesus for years, there's a seat for you. We'll never put you on the spot, and the coffee is on us.
Connect Groups are how we do life together between Sundays. We run a number of groups through the week — for different ages, stages, and rhythms. Some meet on weeknights, some during the day. Visit our Connect Groups page or email breambay@encounter.org.nz and we'll help you find one that fits.
